No Boys Allowed!

well, this past weekend i went on my first girls' weekend since warren has been born. i know you're probably thinking, "what?! its been over a year!!" but that's just the way it worked out...and...not so sure i'd be ready to leave him any earlier than now. so, i went with a bunch of my college girlfriends to charleston. it was so great catching up with everyone...without having to stop to wipe a little booty or prepare a meal. don't get me wrong- i absolutely LOVE everything about being a mother. but getting away with the girls for a weekend was just what the doctor ordered! my friend, alycia graciously opened her lovely, cozy home to all of us crazy girls. we did a nice dinner both nights with the beach in between. and if any of you know us, we somehow 'found' our way to a bar with a band on one floor and a dj on the other...like old times dancing until we closed the place down! i was the only 'mom' on the trip so everyone kept asking me how i was doing being away. talking to aaron in between 'events' made me realize they were getting along just fine without me. kinda sad to think about but great at the same time b/c that meant more girls' weekends for me!!!!!!!!
after all is said and done, i LOVE my life as a wife and mother but being away made me appreciate it so much more. life is good!
