some thoughts on the past year...

well, since this is supposed to be a blog instead of a picture album, i decided to share a few thoughts after this amazing year has passed...

you always hear, 'having a baby changes everything!' and it does but it has all been positively wonderful changes! although it terrifies me to think of raising warren in this God-less world, we definitely have to have faith that God will be and is here with us every step of the way. YAY!
i've found i'm much more of a morning person than i thought i was...i mean, who can NOT smile when you walk into your baby's room only to find him standing there grinning at you like its the first time he's seen you! it is definitely one of our favorite times of the day!
i've also realized i'm much more sensitive to all these careless people who 'mistakenly' get pregnant only to abort (!) when there are so many other women, couples, families who are dying for a baby or more of their own. where are their hearts? i've become more aware of truly how precious life is and each day is a gift...
having warren has also put things more in perspective for me. i've always felt blessed but having warren has made me so much more appreciative for the simpler things in life...and at the beginning of this journey my main blessing, other than warren, was just to get to take a shower! i still thank God everyday for a warm shower... i've found i care less and less about the latest trend or what kind of fabric is on the pillows and more and more of just what my husband and son think of me...which, i think, is pretty darn good!!! :)
