Summer fun in the sand...what?! no sand for this little man?!

well...let me say...i'm a little disappointed in having to post this one but our precious,hilarious, seemingly laid back son DESPISES the beach!!! we trekked it down to FL a few weeks ago with my parents only to come to the realization that, once again, warren would rather be in the kiddie pool playing than building sand castles and jumping waves with his daddy. i know the jumping waves part is a little premature as he is only 2, but you get what i'm saying. we were hoping oh so greatly that THIS year would be different than the last. that warren would see the sand castles in his dreams and knock us down running towards the water! but nooo...the second, and i mean the second he laid eyes on the beach, "i not like beach." !!!!! WHAT?!??! both his mother AND father could spend sun up to sun down on the beach, taking a picnic lunch and literally not leaving until the day was done, and this little guy wanted NOTHING to do with it!


we managed to get him to sit for about an hour or so at the time ONLY IF he was sitting in someone's lap-those 'someones' being gaga or papa (my parents) most of the time and since they just like being there, on the sand, in the shade, but in their beach chairs, they didn't mind holding their little dub one bit! so, all in all, the beach trip was a great time for us to get away and relax a little. i managed to read 1/2 a book in that time and get a tiny bit of color...and i will continue to be optimistic and think, "maybe next year will be the year!" we shall see...
